What’s remarkable is this notion the Japanese have, and Zen in particular that when one speaks one can speak directly of an object. That is, a haiku isn’t some conceptual understanding, it’s an actual experience, thus when Kuya speaks he’s producing actual Buddhas and not conceptual understanding of Buddhas.
